Farm Policies & Sales Agreement Information

Please take a moment to review our farm policies before purchasing or reserving a goat. These policies help ensure a positive experiment for both our buyers and our animals.

1. Goat Sales & Availability

  • All goats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Wrights Mini Farm reserves the right to retain any kid born on our farm.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a sale when we believe it is in the best interest of the animal.

  • Prices are subject to change until a purchase agreement has been finalized.

  • A goat is not considered reserved until the agreed-upon reservation requirements have been met.

  • We make every effort to provide accurate information, photographs, and pedigrees for each goat.

2. Reservations & Deposits

Reservations help buyers secure a goat before pickup.

  • A deposit may be required to hold a specific goat.

  • Deposit amounts and payment deadlines will be provided before a reservation is confirmed.

  • Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price.

  • Deposit refund and transfer terms will be clearly stated in the individual sales agreement.

  • Remaining balances must be paid before the goat leaves our farm.

Please contact us before sending any deposits or payments.

3. Registration & Pedigrees

Wrights Mini Farm raises ADGA-registered Nigerian Dwarf goats.

  • Breeding-quality goats sold with registration privileges will receive the appropriate ADGA registration paperwork or online transfer.

  • Pet-quality does and wethers may be sold without registration.

  • Goats sold as unregistered pets will not be represented as registered breeding stock.

  • All applicable registration terms will be discussed before purchase.

  • Pedigree information is available for registered goats.

We carefully consider genetics, conformation, dairy characteristics, and overall quality when making breeding decisions.

4. Health & Biosecurity

The health and well-being of our herd are extremely important to us.

Wrights Mini Farm maintains a closed herd to help protect our animals from outside diseases and unnecessary exposure.

Our goat kids receive age-appropriate care, which may include:

  • CD&T vaccinations

  • Disbudding when appropriate

  • Hoof trimming

  • Identification tattoos

  • Routine health monitoring

  • Proper nutrition and daily handling

We do our best to ensure every goat is healthy at the time of sale. However, we cannot guarantee an animal's future health, growth, production, fertility, or show performance.

Once a goat leaves our farm, its care, feeding, housing, and veterinary needs become the responsibility of its new owner, subject to the terms of the signed sales agreement and applicable law.

5. Farm Visits & Pickup

For the safety of our family and animals, farm visits and goat pickups are by appointment only.

  • Please schedule all visits in advance.

  • Access to animal housing and pastures may be restricted.

  • Buyers should bring a clean, secure, properly ventilated carrier or trailer.

  • Pickup arrangements must be agreed upon before the sale is completed.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain a healthy environment for our herd.

6. Goat Kids & Weaning

Goat kids will remain at Wrights Mini Farm until they are properly weaned, eating independently, and ready to transition to their new homes.

We reserve the right to delay pickup if a kid needs additional time for its health or development.

We strongly encourage buyers to have appropriate housing, fencing, feed, minerals, and companionship arranged before bringing their new goat home.

Goats are herd animals and should not be kept alone.

7. Breeding & Dairy Expectations

Our breeding program focuses on improving dairy qualities, conformation, and overall herd health.

Although we carefully select our breeding pairs, we cannot guarantee:

  • Future milk production or udder development

  • Mature height or size

  • Fertility or breeding performance

  • Show wins or championship titles

  • Specific traits in future offspring

All animals develop differently, and genetics are only one part of their future potential.

8. Buyer Responsibilities

We want every goat leaving Wrights Mini Farm to have a safe, loving, and knowledgeable home.

Before purchasing, buyers should be prepared to provide proper shelter, secure fencing, appropriate nutrition, routine hoof care, veterinary attention, and companionship.

We are happy to answer questions about our goats and share information about their current feeding and care routines.

9. Returns & Rehoming

If circumstances change and you can no longer care for a goat purchased from Wrights Mini Farm, we appreciate being contacted.

We may be able to help discuss responsible rehoming options. Due to our closed-herd biosecurity practices, we cannot automatically accept animals back onto the farm.

Any return, refund, or replacement arrangement must follow the signed sales agreement and applicable law.
