Our Story 🐴❤️
We’re a small family farm in Mercer, Pennsylvania, but our story began long before we had a farm of our own.
Ever since Faith was a little girl, she has always had a special love for animals. But above all, horses were her favorite.
For Christmas Eve in 2021, I decided to surprise Faith with her very first horse-riding lesson. Little did I know that one lesson would turn into weekly riding lessons and the beginning of something that would change all of our lives.
Faith had always been a quiet, reserved child, but something about being around horses brought her out of her shell. She developed an incredible connection with them, and before long, I started talking with her riding instructor about helping us find the right horse for Faith.
Then one day, I received a phone call from the instructor.
She asked if we could come up to the barn because there was an abused horse there that nobody was able to get near.
Of course, we went.
When we arrived, we were met by a sight that was heartbreaking. In the corner of a stall stood a skinny, frightened, abused white horse, doing everything she could to hide and protect herself.
Faith walked quietly over to the stall window and simply stood there.
Then something incredible happened.
Just like something you would see in a movie, this scared horse slowly came toward Faith. She put her head out through the stall window and allowed Faith to touch her.
That was the moment their bond began. ❤️
We later learned that this beautiful horse, whom Faith would name Sugar, was supposed to be shipped to a kill pen.
We knew we couldn't let that happen.
We bought Sugar and brought her into our lives. What followed was a journey of patience, love, trust, and countless hours of hard work. Day after day, week after week, and month after month, Faith worked with Sugar to show her that she was finally safe.
Slowly, Sugar learned to trust.
And Faith and Sugar became inseparable. 🐴💕
Their story also made us realize something—we needed a place where they could call home.
So, together with my parents, we purchased a beautiful 9-acre farm.
What started with one Christmas Eve riding lesson turned into a rescue, a lifelong friendship, and ultimately, our family farm.
Our farm is more than just land. It's a place built on love, second chances, hard work, and the special bond between people and animals.
And it all started with Faith and Sugar. ❤️🐴
How Our Goat Milk Products Began 🐐🥛💕
Our journey into goat milk skincare started with something very close to home—my mom and my daughter, Faith, have always had sensitive skin.
About 5–6 years ago, my mom began experiencing more problems with eczema, and many of the products we purchased from stores seemed to make things worse rather than better.
I started doing some research and became increasingly interested in how many of the products we use on our skin every day are heavily processed and contain ingredients we didn't necessarily want to use.
That led me to researching goat milk and its benefits for the skin. I have to say, I was surprised by what I discovered!
At the same time, Faith had been wanting to get involved in 4-H and show goats. I thought, Why not combine the two? It seemed like the perfect opportunity for Faith to learn about raising and showing goats while we explored making our own goat milk products.
So, the search for our first goats began.
And then we found the perfect four! 🐐💕
Meet the Original Herd
Slick became our new buck. He was such a handsome boy—and, boy, was he spoiled! 😂 He quickly became a very special part of our family.
Then came Ellie Mae and Betty. Betty also came with a wether, who quickly became Slick's best friend. Before long, our little herd was complete, and we were officially on our goat journey!
Our girls were already in milk when they arrived, which meant I could start experimenting with goat milk products right away.
So, I made my first batch of goat milk soap.
And I was thrilled with the results!
We began using the soap at home, and we loved it. Eventually, I started giving some to friends and family to try. They loved it too!
That little experiment quickly grew into something much bigger.
From Soap to Something More 🌿
As more people tried our products and shared their experiences, we began experimenting with new recipes and products.
What started with goat milk soap has grown into a growing line of handcrafted goat milk skincare and bath products, including body butters, sugar scrubs, lip balms, lotion sticks, bath salts, and more.
And we're not finished yet!
I'm constantly researching, experimenting, and coming up with new products and new scents to add to our collection.
What began as a way to find something different for our family has turned into something we're incredibly passionate about sharing with others.
