What's the benefits of goat milk soap?

All the goat milk soap made here at Wrights Mini Farm is handcrafted, starting with the milk from our herd of Nigerian Dwarfs Goats. Goat milk naturally provides the perfect ingredients for smooth, moisturizing, and healthy skin.

  • Nutrients: Goat milk contains vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, & E. The minerals Zinc and Selenium, as proteins and fatty acids. This packs the powerful yet gentle nutrients for the skin, protects the skin cells, and repairs damaged or irritated skin.
  • Alpha-Hydroxy Acids - Goat milk contains several of these acids to help remove dead skin cells. The lactic acid dissolves the bond between cells of dead skin, allowing for easy and gentle removal while washing.
  • Moisturizer - The glycerin that naturally occurs in the Goat Milk soaps penetrates your skin to leave behind a thin layer of moisturizer after use. The various fatty acids in goat milk are also moisturizing and are particularly beneficial for those with extra-dry or sensitive skin.

Are the goat milk soaps really handmade?

Yes, our soap is really handmade by me and my daughter! Our goat milk soap recipes start from scratch using 100% goat milk from our herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats. We don't use any base recipes. Our all-natural goat milk soaps are formulated with a wide variety of ingredients depending on their benefits and are all made using the cold process method.

We start out by getting the milk from our farm's goat twice daily, and then freeze the milk. We mix the oils all together, along with the lye and goat milk. We add any special ingredients such as essential / fragrance oils and colorants, then pour into our molds. The soap is then unmolded the next day after they are made, cut, and then placed on our curing shelves, where it sits for 4-6 weeks. Then they are ready for use.

Is it good for sensitive skin?

Goat Milk Soap is excellent for sensitive skin. We usually suggest people to start out with the unscented and then try some of our other scented soaps if the unscented works for you. My mother and daughter both have sensitive skin, and they both love the unscented & scented soaps.
