Things have been busy here at Wrights Mini Farm, and we thought this would be a fun way to keep everyone updated on what’s happening around the farm!
We have officially wrapped up our 4-H round, and the goats did great! We are especially proud of Betty, who earned Grand Champion and also came in Reserve against the market goats. Fair week was definitely hectic, so we’ve spent a little time recovering, catching our breath, and getting everything back in order before the next round of shows begins.
We also welcomed a new addition to the farm! Meet Eclipse, our 14-year-old Saddlebred. He is such a nice horse and has settled in wonderfully. Faith has been enjoying him a lot, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for the two of them.
In the meantime, Faith has been busy practicing with Commander. They have been working on driving his cart, jumping, and trail as they prepare for the upcoming competition to see if they will advance to Districts. The competition is coming up this Saturday and Sunday, August 22–23, so we’re excited to see how all of their hard work pays off!
Once that weekend is finished, there won’t be much downtime because we’ll be getting everything ready to head to Stoneboro for the week. We’ll be bringing our horses, goats, and rabbits to show, so it’s going to be another busy and exciting week for Wrights Mini Farm.
